The youngest female participant at the 2026 Ikogosi Marathon has captured attention with her courage and determination after completing the challenging 17.5-kilometre race in Ikogosi, Ekiti State.
The young runner was among thousands of participants who took part in the race on Saturday, October 31, 2026. Although she did not finish among the winners, her determination to complete the demanding distance earned her admiration from spectators and fellow runners.
Her participation emerged as one of the talking points of this year’s event, highlighting the potential of young girls to participate in long-distance running and the importance of encouraging grassroots athletics.
