Activist and former presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore, has alleged that one of the phones stolen from a member of his team during the October 30 attack in Ado-Ekiti has been traced to the Ekiti State Governor’s Lodge.
Sowore made the claim in a fresh statement on social media, describing the development as a disturbing twist in the controversy surrounding the attack on him and his team.
He called on the Nigeria Police Force and the Department of State Services (DSS) to immediately release CCTV footage from Tawakalitu Restaurant, where the incident reportedly occurred, insisting that the recordings should be made available to establish what happened.
The claim has not been independently verified, and Sowore did not provide further details in the statement on how the phone was traced to the lodge.
