EKITI RING ROAD:MOTORIST RAISES ALARM AS UNUSED TOLL GATE FACES VANDALISM

Uncategorized

A motorist has raised the alarm over the alleged vandalisation and theft of materials at the newly constructed toll gate along the Ekiti State Ring Road, calling on the state government to urgently intervene to protect the facility.

The man, in a video recorded from inside his vehicle at the toll gate, expressed concern over what he described as the removal and theft of some materials by unidentified persons. He condemned the development and urged the government to take immediate steps to prevent further damage to the facility.

He particularly appealed to the state government to fast-track the commissioning of the toll gate and ensure the deployment of security personnel to safeguard the infrastructure and other properties installed at the location.

The concern comes as the toll gate remains unused since the Ekiti State Ring Road was opened to motorists. While the road is already accessible to the public, the toll facility is yet to commence operations.
The state government is therefore urged to look into the complaint, strengthen security around the facility and expedite necessary arrangements for its commissioning to prevent further alleged theft or vandalism. See video below.
