The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Ekiti State has dismissed reports announcing the appointment of a Director-General and State Campaign Coordinator for the Atiku-Amaechi campaign, describing them as unauthorised.
In a statement issued on Friday by its State Publicity Secretary, Rt. Hon. Gboyega Aribisogan, the party said the clarification followed confirmation from its national leadership, urging members and the public to disregard any circulating lists or appointment letters.
The ADC stressed that only its national leadership has the authority to make such appointments, adding that official decisions would be communicated through recognised channels. It also warned individuals and support groups against interfering in the selection and deployment of party agents.
The party disclosed that its State Working Committee, led by Dr. Bamidele Ekunola, had completed the necessary party-agent documentation for submission to the national headquarters. It urged members to remain united and avoid actions capable of creating confusion within the party.
